Al Majdub Shrine Rennovation

Using our humble resources, more than 20 volunteers have renovated Al Majdub shrine at Deir Ghassaneh over the course of 5 weeks.

The great shrine was in a miserable condition and suffered from severe negligence.

Trash was thrown all around the place, paint had been sprayed all over the walls and even some parts of it was dug up in an attempt to find treasure as local myths say.

After the second week, locals started to join us in renovating Al Majdub and after finishing that they realized how mighty this attraction is and how valuable and important it is.

On the 26th of August, Al Majdub Shrine was enlisted as a heritage site at the  Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

Until this day, we are working on enlisting Al Majdub as a heritage site in global heritage protection organizations.
